Upcoming open call for Sri Lanka

KIOS will be launching an open call for applications for civil society organisations working on human rights issues in Sri Lanka at end of May–early June. 

The focus will be on the three thematic areas of the current strategy: 

  • Non-Discrimination and Gender Equality 
  • Democratic Rights and the Rule of Law 
  • Responsible Business, Environment, and Human Rights 

The call is scheduled to open at the end of May–early June and will remain open for four weeks. 

The number of grants from this call will be approximately 3-4 and the amount of each grant will be around 20 000-40 000 euros.   

Eligibility: Local civil society organisations, groups and networks that are based and working on human rights issues in Sri Lanka.   

Tentative timeline: Shortlisted applicants will be contacted in July. Final grant awarding will be made between November 2026 and January 2027.
