Where we work

KIOS support is currently channeled to Kenya, Uganda, Nepal, Sri Lanka and civil society organisations in exile. Regional cooperation in East Africa and South Asia is also prioritised to achieve greater impact in promoting human rights.

KIOS supports civil society organisations in Kenya that promote the rights of women and girls, of sexual and gender minorities, and the right to a clean and healthy environment.

KIOS supports organisations in Nepal that promote the human rights of women, youth, Dalits, sexual and gender minorities, indigenous peoples, and stateless individuals.

KIOS supports organisations in Sri Lanka that promote the rights of women, sexual and gender minorities, and ethnic and religious minorities.
